Warm for Togwottee. Snowing hard in the morning and cleared around 12N.
Snowpack
It was snowing S2 on the drive but cleared by 11am. A shirt period of moderate wind was reported by a party on Breccia during that time. We observed minimal wind effect on Angle, Mocassin Basin, Breccia (not stripped bare for once!), and Two Ocean. Only one avalanche observed from the highway on those locations, and none on the steep banks in Mocassin Basin. Test pits showed collapses but no propagation 60cm down on thin and rounding layer of NSF/SH. Basal weakness of advanced, damp facets was 1m down, PST45/100 End on top of that layer. Nowcast at our elevation and aspect was Moderate, though all in the Pro2 course agreed that avoiding steep, rocky thin spots at higher elevations still makes sense given the overall structure and history of wind transport in this zone.
I cleared 25 1/2" of snow containing 3" of water from the interval board. 55 inches (140cm) HS
