- <p>No red flags. Cool morning and light breeze kept wet activity in check, light breeze was not creating any new drifts where we were, and old wind slabs from earlier in the week had settled out.</p>
Not much to note. there were a few small point releases from overnight, limited to the couple inches of new snow, but sluffing had settled out by the time we were there. Plenty of old wind slabs visible from earlier in the week (Wed and Thur night), but could not get any of them to move. Good stability and good travel conditions. Stability tomorrow will depend on temperatures, but would expect some wet loose activity with daytime heating.
Photo shows some wet loose activity off the rocks from earlier in the week, now covered with a couple inches of new snow. Not much else to note.
Snowpack
2-3 inches new about approx. 8K. New was on variable crusts at low elevation and sunnier aspects, but was on top of soft settled snow on high elevation north.
