Cooke City - North

No signs of significant instability. There were a few very small, dry loose snow avalanches and a couple of very small wind slab avalanches (R1/D1) on the north side of Wolverine. 

Given that we are in a period of status quo LOW danger, there are two significant points about future stability: 

1. There is 3-4" of very low-density snow as the current surface conditions, with plenty available for transport when the winds pick up. I would expect wind slab avalanches between 6-12" deep to be sensative to human-triggers during and immediately after the next wind event. 
2. There is surface hoar and near-surface facets developing at all elevations, but not on all slopes (yet). When it snows again, it seems likely that these weak layers will make for tricky conditions. It would be reasonable to assume the weak layer is everywhere until we can map a predictable, accurate distribution pattern. 

Other than that, not much to report. The riding conditions are great, especially in the trees of the middle-elevation band.
