Quick report
We dug two snow pits, one at Ski Hill and one at Marge (pits attached), both on NE-E aspects. We performed an ECT in both snow pits. Ski Hill: ECTN 23 @ 116cm, ECTN30 @ 97cm Marge: ECTN19 @ 146cm. In both pits, it was difficult to isolate the column to the ground due to the very hard snow at the base of the snowpack. There was a prominent layer of surface hoar on top of the snowpack in both areas, ranging from 2mm at Marge to 6-8mm at Ski Hill.
