Observation: Cutler Ridge

Yesterday's snow provided for great riding higher up. Dug down and found an interesting variety of layers. Facets at the bottom of the snowpack are still present but have rounded significantly. Two graupel layers exist between a crust layer which could become a problem with more snow. The new snow landed atop a pretty stout M/F / scoured crust that has been the primary surface of the snowpack for the past several weeks however I noticed minimal dry loose releases from this interface. There are visible windslabs that have formed higher up on the headwall from the new snow however there was no evidence of any recent avalanches from this new snow.
