Quick report

Red Flags
Rapid Warming

I saw no signs of wintery snow on any aspect up to 9000 feet was quite windy on the ridge top and couldn’t see any blowing snow anywhere. Lots of evidence of wet slough activity from the past couple days between Ben Lomond and Williard. Some slides where pretty big. The place was crawling with Moose up to 7000 feet as well.

Instability Comment

Below 8000 feet the refreeze was very weak. Around 11am was able to kick off wet sloughs on test slopes. Above 8000 crust was pretty firm and still quite hard at 11 due to cloud cover keeping the sun off.
