Quick report

Cracking

Collapsing

Stubborn slabs persist in Togwotee with an emphasis on stubborn. There is significant bridging power in the 1F to 1F+  slab above the upper most weak layer and only 1 to 1 and half hardness steps in the interfaces which helps explain the lack of triggered avalanches in this zone.

Southern aspects held a hard crust with ski and machine penetration limited to 3-4" of new snow on the surface. Westerly aspects were breakable in spots and not supportable on foot.  North faces held boot top powder snow.

Green danger rating is for solar aspects that have now been through several periods of heating to 9,500'.
