Still finding sugary weak snow at the bottom of the snowpack and propagating failures in stability tests... Today, I looked at south and southwest facing slopes and was impressed how widespread the weak snow is, even in sunny mid-elevation terrain. Although, it's getting harder for people to trigger avalanches, it's still quite possible, and avalanches could be large and destructive.
