- <p>Noted some hard slabs of wind drifted snow on northwest facing slopes above 9500' but they seemed welded in place. No cracking or collapsing.</p>
Mostly LOW danger in our travels from Broads to Mill B South.
Hazard today probably limited to isolated wind drifts from Sunday night and Monday early morning moderate to strong NW winds....and wet loose avalanches: overstaying one's welcome on steep southerly aspects with direct sun and daytime warming.
Natural and human triggered size 1 new snow loose dry avalanches noted on east facing Twins.
Cornices continue to be something to avoid.
No recent glide slab activity noted in Broads or Mill B South....although glide cracks are present from above Blue Ice north to Bonkers.
