Little Japan: 2.5' of new snow at 2000'. There was a rain crust on the surface to 2,300' maybe a little higher. We did a series of quick pitswith propagating results on a buried layer of facets 90 to 100cm deep below a crust. (ECTP23, PST35/100 end x2). Whumpfing at 2,500'. Rutchblock: RB6
Tenderfoot: Propagating results in test pits similar to the crew at Little Japan. Investigated a crown on the south side of Tenderfoot that fractured high on the ridge where it was less steep. The crown depth ~4' and bed surface looked to be similar to the setup that was propagating in Little Japan area.

Significant avalanche cycle in Summit Lake. Multiple D2 avalanches (~2,700') on S, E and W faces that looks like they propagated on a persistent layer in the mid pack. A few D3 avalanches started near the ridgelines, one to the ground that ran to the bottom of valleys. This is a large D3.5 avalanche on the west face of Moose Mtn. A partially buried crown is visible near the ridge.
