Dug a pit and found similar conditions as the 1/14 hell hole slide observation. 7k', S aspect 25° slope 33° temp Wind loaded 150cm deep 2 weak sugar layers at 30cm and 11cm Extended column test failed at both layers on 15 taps Failures propegated and stayed cohesive slabs/blocks No instability signs while touring, so especially spooky that these failed so deep so easily in the pit This pit makes it an easy decision to stay below 30° slopes for the remainder of the trip.
