Quick report
Thin snow low and in the trees til getting to the alpine. Estimate 1 to 1.5 meter of snow at 2500'. Did not measure with probe. Found the old rain crust up to our high point of 2500'. It was about 1 cm thick and in open areas was sometimes strong enough to support booting without breaking through. 15 cm of new snow on top. Pole probing showed facets below the crust. No cracking or collapsing noted.
