Quick report
It was very cold out there today, negative teens at the parking lot. We didn't travel far but temps did seem to slightly increase with elevations. Our groups found 60-70 cm of snow between 1200'-1400'. The snowpack was mostly comprised of melt/freeze crusts. We did find a thin layer of facets below the upper most 20 cm of melt freeze that produced few hard ct results and a few hard ectn. The current surface in the valley is an impressive array of surface hoar. Cold feet and difficult sliding conditions seemed more hazardous than the avalanche problem today.
