Slope cuts easily triggered long shooting cracking of Storm Slabs on multiple aspects. Widespread Natural Storm Slab Avalanche Cycle at 11:30 am on all aspects on terrain features 35 degrees and greater, Likely running on the Light Density Snow that fell overnight with the Reactive Storm Slab being overloaded by the High PI Rates in the early morning hours that began in ernest around 0700. Snow fall rates were sustained throughout the morning hours at S1 with numerous periods of at least S3. Overnight HN: 18cm with daytime accumulations for a 4 hour period while in the field of at least 10cm. Storm Slabs were ranging from 15cm to 25cm deep. Did not travel in the heavy wind loaded terrain in the upper elevations, yet it was Very Likely that the winds in that terrain contributed to much deeper Slab Formation. Of greater concern are the Isolated reports of Storm Slab activity that appears to be running on the Old Snow/New Snow interface.
