This is an old avalanche most likely occurred on 1/17 during high PI rates based on similar known crown lines in the area. This avalanche broke very wide just above the Butler Fork skintrack, less than 5 minutes from the parking lot.
Forecaster Comments: this terrain trap is not to be underestimated. In Dec 2009, it buried two skiers up to their neck.
