Ridge walking, and avoiding all avalanche terrain I was able to remotely trigger this pocket of Sheep Shit Ridge from about 150' away. NE 9,400. All measurements are estimated. Crown looked to be about 12" deep and roughly 100 feet wide. I wasn't going to walk out a examine the crown, but it failed on the old snow. Debris appeared to be soft. Only small chucks were left after it ran about 300' vertical. Debris didn't look deep enough to bury, injure, or kill a person, so I'll call this a D 1.5. The ride would have sucked though in the low tide. All of the red flags were present today. Avalanche terrain is off limits for the foreseeable future.
