Strong steady wind overnight while generally cloudy and warm with Friday's low temperature of 33F the first day since Sept. 30 in which the low was above freezing. Snow started around 4 a.m. with 1½" new and a wind driven 0.15" of water and the snowpack at 32", still below the winters deepest of 35½" on Nov. 27. Currently obscured with light snowfall. Todays low and the current is 25F with strong westerly wind 7-15 gusting to 30 here, and 44 mph W just south of Gothic. So far just a lot of noise and little snow but i guess this is just starting.
