Powder Valley saw some wind.

<p>We explored further up Powder Valley today to get a sense of how the wind yesterday and last night impacted avalanche and riding conditions. Well, things have changed. Though there was no obvious evidence of widespread Na wind slab activity, the winds definitely changed the landscape. Open features above tree line are either scoured, heavily wind pressed, or wind loaded and firm. Ski quality has diminished and the best riding was in lower angle, sheltered features at tree line and lower. Many avalanche aprons and paths that were providing good riding have been scoured back down to the early December avy debris.
Snow profiles did not produce any results of note. No whumphing or cracking in slabby areas above tree line though we were using extra caution and investigating every terrain feature carefully before committing to it.
