Great day of skiing at The Gorge. Average depths are 120-160 cms above 1800 metres and the ski quality in the trees was great. The snowpack generally felt well settled and supportive. There was hardly a breath of wind today however the winds from the last storm have created wind effect in open areas in the alpine and treeline. No new avalanches or signs of instability were observed, but there was some sluffing in the steeper trees we skied. There was logging traffic on the road, make sure you have a radio if you're heading out there!
