Skinning up above Hanging Lake (near treeline) around 1:40pm, started seeing multiple storm slabs on slopes just around 30ยบ and above. Heavy snowfall all day (3+cm/hr) and light winds.
The storm slab pictured was a remote trigger from a large group ahead of us. The snow went from fun, deep powder not forming a cohesive slab to denser, reactive storm slabs very quickly. Ski cut an isolated slope on the other side of the skin track and produced a similar depth storm slab.
