Rained to the warming hut / tree line

Rained at least to the warming hut, potentially higher. Wet, very sticky snow (bring skin wax!), possible to ski but type 2 kinda fun. Trees unloaded the snow likely due to wind and the wet conditions. Above warming hut we could spot an avalanche on the north facing slope, but due to weather and flat light it was difficult to determine how old. cornice visible on the ridge. Another party went further up into the alpine and reported still bad skiing conditions - skied back down along the up track and avoided avalanche terrain.
