The new 1mm thick surface hoar layer is now down 1-1.5 feet and remains reactive and widespread. Evidence of natural cycle early Jan 5th am, some small convex rolls went naturally on as low as 20-25 degrees. Less cracking in front of skis today, conditions remain touchy. Did a quick dig to the Dec facet/crust layer now down about 150 cms, no testing but it remains present, thick and of low density, simply put it didn't look good. Slab above overall looked uniform.
