Warm and corn

We had a few options around Castle/Rockbound Lake area today. We watched lots of slides coming off the the N and NE aspects of Castle Mountain - we had really quick travel, but as things warmed on SE aspects we quickly lost confidence and bailed. We ended up finding great corn snow around Helena down to Tower Lake and salvaged an awesome day!

We saw lots of avalanches coming off Castle from various aspects - quite a show from a distance! Mostly N and NE. Older cornice debris on S and SE aspects
