Kindergarten Couloir

Skied Kindergarten couloir today. Set a heinous bootpack wallowing through unsupportive snow. Snowpit test near base of fan showed a very uniform snowpack (HS:175), 20cm of fresh ontop. No result on CT/ECT. New snow appears well bonded. Main concern was cornice overhead so we stayed climber's left while setting our uptrack. Excellent skiing the whole way down. Mild snow transport through moderate winds, some spin drift, & fresh snow today.

A relatively recent < 1 week wind slab cut off steep rocky features left of the couloir, entraining a reasonable amount of snow with it on the way down. Most likely occurred during the heavy wind event earlier this week. We kept skiiers L to avoid this crusty debris & found a blower powder descent on the fan.

Uneven break @ CT17 20cm down on CT no propagation on ECT.
