Quick report
We observed anywhere from 18-24 inches of new snow above 7,000' from the most recent storm cycle. The clouds stuck around for most of the day with some short periods of snow and graupel. We did not observe any signs of instability or red flags for the majority of the tour. We had confidence in the stability of the snowpack and felt comfortable skiing aggressively in steep north/northeast-facing terrain. Shallow wind slabs that we previously observed near ridgetops on Friday/Saturday were not present on Sunday. Ski cuts were nonreactive sloughing was minimal. Ski quality was excellent. Towards the end of the day, the sun came out and solar aspects warmed quickly. We observed some small point releases and roller balls on south-facing slopes.
