Quick report
The sun and warm temperatures triggered a notable shedding cycle in the Sawtooths. The slab avalanche on Decker Peak stands out as just the tip of the iceberg, with a uniquely shaped crown. I can imagine the two rock bands acting as a catalyst for water to pump into the snowpack, infiltrating the weak layer—likely the 3/12 interface. Williams Peak had the largest wet loose debris I observed, while most of the other slides were D1s—enough to knock you over in consequential terrain but unlikely to bury you.
