Wind affect even in tree buffered terrain well below ridge line or open terrain on the climb up. Snow shedding off trees around 10am but then it became overcast and we stopped seeing that until at the parking lot around 3p. East aspect test slopes consistently produced cracking at or below ridge line. Hand shears showed consolidated storm layer. Skiing was deep pow in trees on east aspects, and highly variable on west.
