Quick report
Opportune early season access. Able to drive to trailhead. Started skinning after crossing Kulshan Creek. Descended comfortably on skis to 4800’ (east of Heliotrope Creek) then hiked out with skis on back. No coverage concerns above 6300’. Hs varied as widespread wind affect near and above treeline. Deepest Hs observed was 150cm at 5700’ below Hogsback Camp. Hst less than expected (0-5cm) due to wind. Observed minor snow transport on surface in the morning then only off summits of Colfax & Lincoln rest of day. Light winds from NW. Skies broken to clear.
