Quick report
Gentle treed tour today -- ski quality was excellent, even in the trees. Especially good meadowskipping in open glades. Saw a number of others doing the same. At lower elevations this morning, today's new snow didn't seem to have bonded that well, but it's still unconsolidated fluff. Did not dig today, opting to avoid avalanche-terrain almost entirely, but crunchy lower-density snow was easily palpable with a ski pole ~60cm down, even in glades with a clear view to sky. No slabs/crowns easily noted today, but loose-dry was evident almost everywhere, entraining all of today's snow and perhaps more. A sunbreak in the afternoon provided better visibility than most of the photos taken on-tour.
