Avalanche

Climbing down from Silver King (near Crystal mountain) on the Southwest side of Elizabeth lake (North facing slope) I caused a small wet loose avalanche.

Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

We heard the snowpack collapse a couple times (small "whumpph" type sounds). I'm not sure how new the snow was, probably from last week? It looks relatively fresh. The warm weather this weekend is probably really going after it. We were on a steep slope. When I caused my little 'lanche, we were just stepping down pretty carefree and not gently. It slid pretty slowly. I didn't think to record a video unfortunately, but I did take a pic. I did not do any snowpack tests or anything. My overall impression was that there's some risk of avalanches during this warm weather. Gorgeous out there, but it's warm and sunny. Please exercise some caution and make sure you get home safely.

Avalanche

Near Elizabeth lake, about 6000ft elevation. I triggered a small wet loose snow side/avalanche. It was maybe a few feet wide, very shallow. No one was caught or hurt
