Warm and clear. Light breeze kept the conditions from getting too warm. Trailhead temp of 58 at 3pm.

Snowpack

Overall a deep and stable snowpack in upper Lost Horse. Dug in two north facing slopes at 7000' and did not find any buried weak layers or persistent weak layers.

Rollerball cycle started early at 1000 and continued into the afternoon but no wet snow avalanches were observed. South facing solar slopes were damp to wet in the top 3 inches. Light wind kept the snowpack from tipping to wet snow and wet snow avalanches.

Avalanche

Multiple 1-2 week old D1-D1.5 snowmobile triggered avalanches.
