Quick report

There has been a lot of melting below 6000' this week. The new snow from this week was very shallow, and only present above 6000', There was no evidence of recent avi activity other than the avalanche noted in the summary.

Avalanche

There was an obvious crown running across the east aspect of Monitor peak at 5900'. It looked like it involved the new snow that fell this week. This is a very steep avalanche prone slope that is off the climbing route. It was not human triggered. It is it may have run 1-3 days ago.
