Dug a pit in a clearing in the trees on an east aspect of point six at 7300. Cut the pit to about 60 cm, 20 cm below the bottom of a stout crust. Total snow depth 180 Ectn 8 10 cm density change Ectn 11 20 cm ditto Ectn 24 35 cm top of thick crust from warm spell. No layers presented on prying the column and the bond of the newer snow to the crust seemed excellent. We had a bit of cracking in the 10 and 20 cm layers while skinning.
