Public report of a large avalanche down onto the fan of Grizzly Bowl with debris crossing the regular skin track and into the creek with debris 1-3m deep and 250m wide across the fan. The deposit had ~15cm of new snow on it and presumably came down last night mid-storm. A second avalanche came down Grizzly Bowl this morning, terminating 150m below the steep gully onto the fan. The blocky debris was ~5m deep. These avalanches buried the regular skin track route access into Connaught Valley. Rogers Pass saw 40cm of new snow in a 12 hour period which initiated a widespread natural avalanche cycle.
