Quick report
Rain-snow transition between 3500-4000'. Hand pits above there failed at the bottom of the new storm snow with moderate-high force and Q2/Q3 shear quality. Pit at 4800' in an open area near Kendall Trees showed HS255, 25 cm storm snow, a couple crust layers below, and a thick crust layer starting 55 cm down (likely EFC but didn't dig all the way through it to see how thick it was). ECTN17 and ECTN21 breaking at the bottom of the storm snow over multiple loading steps with Q3 shear quality. No cracking or collapsing. The storm snow at mid elevations seemed well bonded to the underlying snowpack, but we still skied/traveled cautiously given the steadily increasing new snow load and spatial variability of weak layers noted in recent forecasts/observations. sky: OVC precip: S2 (some graupel mixed in) wind: L (M on ridgelines) snow transport: none-L below ridgelines, L-M on ridgeline

D0.5 loose wet on a small rollover at ~3900' on Kendall Stump triggered by skier. Grew to ~10' wide, ran ~30'.
