Observed shooting cracks while touring on slopes 30 - 35 degrees. One ski cut test on a 35 degree slope triggered cracks shooting 5-6’ long. Our group dug a hasty snow pit on a leeward side slope and performed an ECT, where a 3” wind slab consistently failed on the 3rd tap, hand falling from elbow. Due to these observations we chose to ski lower angle slopes and had an amazing time in the powder!
