Quick report
- Cracking
- specific
In places where the wind had deposited snow we experienced some cracking. We also triggered small 3”-6” deep crowns on North / North East facing slopes that were wind loaded. Some in the trees. We triggered a small wind slab avalanche on a ridge line that propagated about 50 yards and ran about 20 yards. We started riding around 9:30 am and ended at 2pm it snowed the entire ride and visibility was poor. Winds were blowing snow and temps stayed cold below freezing. The surface snow was light with some stronger snow beneath it. Around 8,000’ we probed 240cm and measured about 105cm of snow from the past 6 days.
