Quick report
Skied around the Chickadee Ridge area to check out the new snow conditions today. Minimal snow exists in this area below 8000’ with a more winter feel at Tahoe Meadows. High density new storm snow along with some wind textured surface snow made for mostly ski supportable conditions-even with skinny Nordic skis. Around a foot of snow exists in this area with the recent storm snow sitting on top of older weak faceted snow. In wind protected northerly terrain ski pen was deeper with many obstacles present.
