Quick report
Skied N/NE trees off summit point. Warmer temps in am, producing moist snow at storm onset. West winds light progressing to moderate started around 13:00. Cornice development on ridge tops. Winds created a 1cm wind crust over 5 inches of low density ( Fist) over the 3/22 MFcr which is about 1 inch thick. The new snow does seem to be bonding to the 3/2MFcr , less reactive to skiers and skinning than anticipated. The MFcr failed on the layer beneath, on isolation in a hand shear test.
Avalanche
Lots of Loose Wet from 3/22 and 3/21 observed on steep southerlies. Along the Ridge line from summit to Cornucopia and on the southern aspect of cornucopia peak. All natural ranging D1-1.5.
