Spent the day skiing phat ridge, dug 3 pits. Skiing was lovely above the rain line. Flurried on and off all day. Lowest elevation pit around 7100’ was the most reactive. CT19 at 50 cm (new snow failed at around 6 taps but we kept going). Lots of layers visible in this pit. NNE, 34* slope. Another pit at 7400’. CTX and ECTX. (Though ECT column wasn’t a full 90cm width). NNE aspect, 25* slope. Total snow depth 135 cm Another at 8100 closer to the top of phat ridge, just out of curiosity. CT13 at 18 cm (storm snow) and ECTX. NE slope, 32*. Definitely wind affected area. Total depth 225 cm.
