Cornices forming above north facing terrain off the ridge northwest of Castle Peak. Despite low snow coverage on the southeast side of the ridge, difficult to tell where the ground ends and cornice begins in spots. We avoided all NW-N-NE facing slopes >30 degrees, soft snow on <30 degree north facing slopes.
