Sunny and calm in White Pass

Widespread whumpfing on all aspects and at all elevations. Failures propagated across entire terrain features. Shooting cracks in steeper test slopes also present. See avalanche obs for avalanche report.

As we crossed Customs, we noted a size 2 slab out of the climbers right side of Halcyon gully (see photo). Witnesses reported seeing the avalanche occur on Saturday (Feb 17th) along with skiers in the immediate area of the avalanche. This AST trained observer assumed a skier trigger or skier remote. Though this avalanche is now 5 days old, it is significant as the underlying avalanche problem still exists in the area.
