Went to check out grizzly this morning. While traversing through steep SE trees we observed cracking 1m from ski tips in 20cm of fist snow. As we approached ridge crest we popped a 30 cm deep sz1 4F- wind slab which ran 50m. Opted to ski down from there. Ski cutting along the ridge crest produced multiple results of similar size.

Snow conditions were: Powder, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Cloudy. We rode: Open trees, Steep slopes. Riding quality was good.

Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours. Whumpfing or drum-like sounds or shooting cracks.
