Dry snow right from the parking lot. Trace snow overnight. Snowing 2cm per hour late afternoon as we left. Good riding to be had in fast, silky powder.

Snow conditions were: Powder. Weather conditions were: Cloudy. We rode: Mellow slopes, Open trees. Riding quality was good.

Repeated sudden compression test results (CTH24, 25) on facets below Nov. 5th crust down 100cm . No results on extended column test (ECTX). A firm (1F) slab sits above and is well-bonded to the crust. The crust presents as a 10cm layer of low-resistance (4F) crystals. Shears observed in upper and mid pack in soft snow with no surface hoar observed.

No precipitation during our time out. Snow started at 4pm, 2cm per hour.
