<p>Nice day above the cloud band (2100m to 2300m). Snow firming up ever so slightly, but still no slab properties. Hand shear gave a moderate non-planar break down 25-30 cm on a 5cm wind crust layer found in the alpine. The ‘block’ was not cohesive (i.e., you couldn’t pick it up). Ski quality ok to good, if a little grabby at times due to surface snow firming up a bit and very light wind effect. Solar effect only on very steep s-sw aspects. North side of Video did not look terribly inviting... I’m guessing it has similar conditions to yesterday’s MCR for Forever Young.</p>
