Today we noticed significant wind transportation of snow strong winds. Winds slabs starting to form in areas. Observing the Alpine on the Murray range was pretty bare with lots of wind scoured slopes. In our compression tests we had a wind slab layer of 10cm collapsing in the easy range deeper down we had the persistent weak layer of facets down 45cm breaking loose in the moderate range. This layer continues to be reactive in most areas of the North Rockies. Remember to chose terrain carefully and play safe!
