We used terrain choice to manage the high avalanche hazard today, but didn't feel ripped off at all because the sledding was just soooooo good in low angle terrain ALL DAY. We saw recent signs of avalanches on steep unsupported slopes and got lots of shooting cracks even in the low angle stuff where we played. At 1800 m in the afternoon it was -6 and when we stepped off our sleds, the low density snow was crotch deep!
