Snowpack
- Instability Comment
-
Spent the day on NE aspects between approximately 8,500-9,500'. Found a very weak snowpack, almost all facets except the new light density snow. Without a slab, stability was generally good for now, but once there is a slab, its going to be interesting. Didn't have a chance to look at more upper elevation slopes in the wind zone - but would imagine stability to be very different. Hazard moderate in terrain traveled trending on low - probably still considerable in more upper elevation areas.
