Quick report
Long walk up to the Mirror Lake area. Noted solar crust on west facing lines under Hayden Peak. Winds appeared out of the west mostly today, visible snow transport at high elevations. Dug a pit at 10,600 ft on a due north aspect off Reid Peak. Snow depth around 170cm. Visible wind affected snow in couloir per picture below. About 10-15 cm of 1F slab on top of 10 cm of weak snow. ECTP1 (!). Decided to ski a slightly more sheltered aspect out and not go up any further. Beautiful day to be out.
