Quick Observation
We toured up to Rohr Mountain via Rohr Lake. Approx 10cm of new snow fell on Friday which was light and unconsolidated below treeline. Skiing below treeline in dense trees was excellent. As we progressed past Rohr lake there was very widespread wind effect. Evidence of recent slab avalanches on Northern steep, unsupported slopes. Also evidence of natural avalanches on southern slopes that had started to be filled in by recent snow and cross loading. Pin wheeling on steeper solar aspects by end of day. Ski quality on mellow alpine slopes was good despite the wind affect. No other observed signs of instability (shooting cracks, whumfs)
